NORMAN Beauty is in search of an exceptional Creative Director to define and elevate the soul of the brand through pure, intentional, and refined visual direction. This role is not about following trends—it is about curating a visual language that endures, one that reflects a deep reverence for design integrity, form, and philosophical storytelling.
Rooted in balance, restraint, and quiet power, the NORMAN aesthetic draws from art, architecture, modernism, and conscious luxury. The Creative Director must possess uncompromising artistic judgment and a highly developed eye—able to translate abstract brand values into visceral, elevated creative experiences.
This individual will lead brand identity, campaign art direction, product and packaging aesthetics, spatial concepts, and digital content. Every creative decision will reflect discipline, minimalism, and the belief that beauty is a language of clarity, not noise.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Philosophy & Brand Identity
- Define the brand’s visual ethos and ensure its precise execution across all creative outputs.
- Uphold NORMAN’s commitment to timeless, intentional beauty rooted in design purity and philosophical alignment.
- Act as the aesthetic gatekeeper, ensuring coherence, elegance, and meaning in all touchpoints—from packaging to digital to print.
Art Direction & Visual Storytelling
- Lead the conception and execution of all visual campaigns, brand films, lookbooks, and creative editorials.
- Curate and direct photo and video shoots with a strong hand in lighting, composition, mood, and styling.
- Develop narratives that speak not to the masses, but to the cultivated—a consumer with taste, values, and depth.
Design Oversight
- Guide the design of all products, packaging, and physical brand expressions with tactile intelligence and aesthetic rigor.
- Partner with product, marketing, and retail teams to ensure the physical and digital brand experience is sensorially rich yet visually restrained.
Creative Team & Collaboration
- Build and lead a best-in-class creative team (designers, art directors, stylists) aligned with NORMAN’s philosophy.
- Collaborate closely with founders and senior leadership to embed creativity into strategic decisions, not just execution.
Cultural Curation
- Draw inspiration from art, philosophy, architecture, literature—not algorithms.
- Ensure that every visual expression positions NORMAN not just as a beauty brand, but as a cultural statement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in creative leadership, preferably within luxury beauty, fashion, design, or editorial.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a rare sense of visual discipline, artistic clarity, and philosophical intent.
- Experience directing photo and film productions at a high level of execution.
- Deep understanding of typography, composition, materiality, and brand systems.
- Visionary leadership balanced with an obsessive attention to detail.
- Comfort with emerging creative tools and digital workflows that enhance efficiency while preserving creative control
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, with the ability to articulate creative vision across disciplines.
